Painting My Atomic 4

I tried Ospho brand rust retardant the other day. The stuff really works After I wire brushed the engine, I sprayed that stuff all over the place. It turned all the rust black. It was kind of fun watching the stuff foam and work. Once dry, the surface is ready for painting. And speaking of paint, this stuff like to eat that up too. in touchy areas use a paint brush. A quart bottle costs about $4.00 at Home Depot.

After I tried to order some gaskets from Miami (R B Grove) and St.Petersburg (Yacht Power Products) I decided to try Hansen Marine in Marblehead for parts. My local Universal suppliers all said they had to order the parts (they didn't know what "In Stock" meant). Hansen had all of the parts and even stocks the old Universal brown in spray cans ($14.00). My manifold looked a bit rusty so I even checked on a price for its replacement and hey, they are in-stock too ($325). Careful though, minimum order is $25.00 for shipping. Hey, and I even save on the tax! Nice people too.
