With coamings looking every bit of their age, Steve decided to brighten Juno up

The old coamings were laid over a newly purchased section of mohaugey then cut slightly oversize (the top was routed to shape.) The final cut and trim was made after fitting to Juno.

When satisfied with preliminary fitting, new holes were drilled to secure the coamings in place. With initial installation complete the next step was remove the fresh wood, return to home and varnish, varnish and varnish.

After 8 coats of varnish the coamings and Juno are both looking 45 years younger.
